THE WATCH
Sometimes referred to as the "Vice-President" after its Rolex sibling, the Oyster Prince Date+Day since its debut has long been known as Tudor's take on the Rolex brand's iconic Day Date by many collectors. While very similar in many ways, the Tudor's take on the watch feels slightly more modern, especially with its bracelet.
With a beautiful fluted 18K gold bezel, this watch can realistically be worn daily or during more formal occasions as well, which would not be out of place. The 36mm case is in marvelous condition, and there are no discernible flaws at all on the case of the watch.
Another great part of this watch is the rare linen dial that is in beautiful condition, and this gives the watch a textural pop. While one might think that gold on gold could potentially look very dated at times, this does not feel to be the case here, actually accentuating the watch's charm. One flaw of the watch is that there's a slight damage to the edge of the crystal at the 11 o'clock.
The ETA based workhorse automatic movement still runs well, and time deviation is small. This is a crazy attractive package at this price point, and its moniker "Vice-President" is arguably very well earned.
